Football earned a 28-6 Wolverine Conference win tonight at South Haven. The Cats scored touchdowns in each quarter starting with a Parker Ellifritz five yard run on the Cats opening series. After South Haven cut the lead to 7-6, Devon Gidley connected with Scott Schrader for a 35 yard touchdown pass and a 14-6 halftime lead.
In the third quarter after the Cats forced a turnover, Gidley connected with Carter Minger on a six yard touchdown pass. Ellifritz would score on a four yard run early in the fourth quarter. Brayden Selent was perfect on all four extra points.
Three Rivers outgained South Haven 327-217 with the Cats rushing for 183 and throwing for 144. Gidley was 10 for 14 passing, Ellifritz rushed for 128 on 20 attempts and Schrader caught seven passes for 81 yards.
Bayne Wilson led the defense with six tackles, Minger was credited with 5.5 and Dominick Homan five.
