Softball traveled to the U.P. for the Escanaba Tournament today: GAME 1: Three Rivers 9, Norway 1 London Hoffmaster (2B), Ashlynn Barnes (HR, 2 2B, 2 RBI), and Emmy Quake (2 2B. 3 RBI) each had three hits. Dani Glass and Mia Thomas (3 RBI) both had two hits. Gia Newburry struck out 12 in five innings, Ellie Ruesink pitched two scoreless innings striking out five. GAME 2: Escanaba 11, Three Rivers 6 Dani Glass, London Hoffmaster (2B), Gia Newburry (HR, 2B, 3 RBI) each had two hits as the Cats fell to the host Eskymos. Ashlynn Barnes (2 RBI) had a home run. GAME 3: Three Rivers 11, Millington 1 (F/5) Dani Glass (3B), London Hoffmaster (2 2B, 2 RBI), and Autumn Schroeder each had three hits in the win over the Cardinals. Gia Newburry (3 RBI), Emmy Quake, and Madison Carr each had two hits. Newburry pitched five innings allowing one hit and striking out six. Three Rivers is now 19-6 on the season.
